Aurora, Colorado is the largest suburb of the Denver metro area and sits in the southeast corner spanning Arapahoe, Adams and Douglas counties.
Aurora is host to Buckley Air Force Base which is assigned to the Air Force Space Command and the 460th Space Wing. Buckley serves active duty, National Guard, Reservists as well as retired. In total, over 90,000 people are served by the base. Many of the folks we have met being stationed at Buckley are unable to share with us what they do, but Buckley is involved in space based missile warning, space surveillance operations and communications.
Aurora, Colorado also is home to the highly regarded Cherry Creek School District. Besides Aurora, Cherry Creek School District serves Greenwood Village, Cherry Hills Village, Centennial, Foxfield, Glendale and Englewood. Cherry Creek High School is consistently strong in athletics, with their football, golf and tennis teams typically taking a run at the state titles. The school district also opened the Institute of Science and Technology which is specifically devoted to STEM education; science, technology, engineering and math.
